Who we are
Internet Projects Ltd, trading as NetProjects, is the controller for personal data collected through this website. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08388036) and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under number ZC257717. Registered office: 3rd Floor Marlborough House, 298 Regents Park Road, Finchley, London N3 2SZ, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@netprojects.com.
What we collect and why
This site does not run a contact form or an account system. It sets no cookies unless you accept analytics cookies (see Analytics cookies below).
Email and phone. If you email hello@netprojects.com or security@netprojects.com, or call us, we use what you send (your name, address or number, and the message) to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the business and handling security reports, or steps toward a contract if you are asking about work.
Server logs. Each request to the site is logged with the IP address, user agent, time and URL, to keep the service secure and to diagnose faults. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Logs are not used to build a marketing profile.
Analytics cookies
If you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive (for example from a search engine or a link), interactions such as scrolling and clicks on links to other sites, and your approximate location (country or city), device type, browser and screen size. Nothing is loaded from Google until you accept. If you reject or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google Analytics.
Google Analytics sets two cookies on this site, _ga and _ga_2PKY0C77W7, which hold a random identifier and last up to 13 months. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals and advertising features, and we do not use analytics data for advertising or to identify you.
The legal basis is your consent. We keep your choice in your browser's local storage (np-consent) so we do not ask on every page; it stays on your device. Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically.
You can withdraw consent at any time: choose Cookie settings at the bottom of any page and select Reject. Analytics then stops and we delete the analytics cookies. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings.
Google Ireland Limited provides Google Analytics to us as our processor, under Google's data processing terms. Google may process this data outside the UK, including in the United States (see International transfers below).
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts and delivers this site (Cloudflare Workers and its network), protects it from attacks, and keeps the request and Worker logs described above. Cloudflare Email Routing receives mail sent to hello@netprojects.com and security@netprojects.com and forwards it to us.
- Google (Gmail). Mail sent to hello@netprojects.com and security@netprojects.com is forwarded to, and kept in, a Gmail mailbox, where we read and answer it.
- Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics). Measures how the site is used, only if you accept analytics cookies, as described above.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Worker logs for this site: up to 7 days, then deleted automatically. Cloudflare's own network and security logs are kept as set out in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months, then deleted automatically. Analytics cookies on your device: up to 13 months, or until you reject analytics or clear them.
- Emails and call notes about a general enquiry: up to 2 years after our last contact with you.
- Security reports: up to 2 years after the issue is closed.
- Correspondence that leads to a contract: for the life of the contract and 6 years after it ends, the limitation period for contract claims in England and Wales.
International transfers
Cloudflare and Google (Gmail and Google Analytics) are part of US groups and may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. For transfers to the US we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations for the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (the “UK-US data bridge”), under which both companies are certified. Where that does not apply, we rely on the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in the providers' data processing terms.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, erasure, or a restriction, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to hello@netprojects.com. We answer within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
